    All cultures of … ?

All cultures of people of color deal with this issue. Especially people colonized by the English, but the whole world wants to be lighter except for white people who want to be darker. LOL I generalized in this post because of course not all people of color have a problem with their darkness. I don't .I love the way I look, and I like the way other people look. That is why God made colors. So we can all enjoy the variations of the human condition. Re: video. I love this woman!

Surprise: Colorism … Surprise: Colorism exists everywhere!

The real questions is, does the degree to which it prevails differ in each society?
I live in a majority black city in the south. I am very much happy with it. In America, most black celebs are dark as coal: Rihanna, Kerry Washington, and most of the males are dark.

In India colorism is practiced to a high degree.

Visiting India for a week long wedding doesn't make you acquainted with Indian culture. You only have an apparent understanding of it.

  • mdj2742:

WTH? I was … WTH? I was correcting MY initial spelling of "blackie". I MISTYPED IT INITIALLY.

I only value respect from those whom I'd most likely admire. Needless to say, your respect or lack thereof is of no consequence.

I've been to India (in a wedding). I had a fantastic time. Colorism does exist, being 'fair' is valued (REGARDLESS OF ONE'S RACIAL "TITLE") I had a wonderful time.

Your bitterness reminds me of the same malice darker AA show towards fairer AA. I understand now. Best of luck to you.

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

    @mdj2742

    LMFAO! … @mdj2742

    LMFAO!

It's spelled correctly, you partially blind jerk. (the lack of caps was intended, just like the lack of respect).

Obviously, you are a category-five moron who hasn't got a clue about India. Those Outlook articles written by African Americans are just for imbeciles like you, so that you are warned before abuse. Read them. And don't travel in India alone. It's worse for blacks.

Or you can go and learn for yourself the hard way.

  • mdj2742:

CORRECTION: " … CORRECTION: "Blackie". I wouldn't want to confuse you with improper spelling lol.

  • mdj2742:

"Blacke"??? … "Blacke"??? Obviously, your racism is affecting your eyesight. And I'll pass on YOUR suggestions. I've been fortunate enough to travel and EXPERIENCE some of what I speak on. I'll leave the Google education to people like you.

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

    @mdj2742

    Honey, … @mdj2742

Honey, blackie, I never said it was completely absent in the western African -American societies. The degree to which colorism is practiced is very high in India.

I suggest googling the phrase "India is racist and happy about it"

    Read the articles.

  • mdj2742:

Sorry to burst your … Sorry to burst your bubble, but blacks do have a complex about dark skin. They're just NOW learning to accept it. Complexion issues are prevalent in every culture. It's just the way things are. Asia has one of the oldest and most beautiful (IMO) cultures. I just hope it isn't lost in Asia's quest to become more "westernized".

"how u feel inside … "how u feel inside it definately reflects outside" always the same stuuf change ur cd ash

  • xcheergirl93:

shes gorgeous, … shes gorgeous, whoever tries to deny that is a total idiot fatlard but she is sooo boring & not that interesting of a person

  • cadermd:

To " … To "LogicalFlawDetector"- I agree with the content of your writings.

However, the next step after High I.Q (which I beleive you have) is High E.Q.

Leaving India is a COWARDLY solution.

But if you are not strong enough to GO BACK & FIX these then what good is your INTELLIGENCE?

Who will benefit from your criticism?

Put your foot where the mouth is..i.e. Walk the Talk.

This is not a blame- WAKE UP call for ALL intelligent Indians.

Break the "shackles" of Colonizers. Ghandi paid w/ life.

  • roxio99:

get it out of yr … get it out of yr fat head .she is not the most beautiful its a phrase used by a person to express his /her personal view so its not said by the general public lots of videos on here on other women described as the same so whats yr problems ur dumb or what lots of women in Indian with lighter eyes and lighter /darker skin BTW im not even an Indian LOL

  • jnetd03:

I wonder if ash, … I wonder if ash, having the same face but with dark skin, would still be called the most beautiful woman in the world. That is something to think about isn't it. I like Ash though. It is not her fault that she was born with such a pretty face. What should she do, go and mess it up. LOL.

  • candyluver27:

She is such a … She is such a sweatheart

  • Sweetylicious4u:

she is ugly tranny she is ugly tranny

  • sapnagirl7:

Nice tips, love her. Nice tips, love her.

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

Bipasha Basu is … Bipasha Basu is hardly dark skinned. She looks Italian.

Dude, if you are Indian, you know how poorly evolved Indian views are regarding beauty–and just about everything else.

Indians are so pathetic that they even adopt only the "light skinned" babies from orphanages. So that the babies can be accepted in the society.

What irony! This is a country in which most people look like smoked beef, where they hate themselves and anything that looks like them.

    LMFAO!

    I am glad I left!

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

Whites get a tan … Whites get a tan because they like a healthy look. They don't want to turn brown. Most of the Hollywood actors are pale as hell: Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. It is a compliment, in the west, to call someone "dark." At the same time, It is not an insult to call someone "pale." Whites don't look for tanned skin in marriage, dating sites, friendship. And blacks don't worry about their black skin; in fact, they love it!

In India it is the exact opposite, hon.

  • muddenahalli:

Actresses like … Actresses like Bipasha Baasu, Kajol and Konkona Sen flaunt their dark skins with pride and are accepted as "beautiful" by the Indian audience.

Please live and let others live.

  • muddenahalli:

You called me a … You called me a monkey..alright, I am one of those.

You said: "I bet you will even sell your own moms to become white", which says how human you are. I am even more hurt to know that you are Indian (ex or whatever).

You do not seem to mind if the white race gets a tan or darken their hair but you have a problem with an Indian who appears like a westerner.

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

India's primitive … India's primitive philosophy on beauty is pretty laughable by western standards.

In India, being called "dark" or "black" or even "African" could be the worst insult.

You parsimonious, pugnacious, are never going to shake off the shackles of 19th century British beauty standards.

One might as well call all Indians — excluding myself — British slaves.

There is no other eloquent way to put it… . May be, "White wannabes?"

  • LogicalFlawDetector:

One more Indian … One more Indian monkey going, "how dare you say that?" (By the way, there should be no question mark after that phrase; it is a rhetorical question.)

I am Indian (ex!). I was born and raised in that racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, patriarchal society.

Honey, the "white" looking ones are descendant of the Indo-Europeans who migrated to south Asia (which is also how you get your Indo-Aryan languages).

In India, looking white and speaking in English are two top status symbols.

  • muddenahalli:

How dare you say … How dare you say that? I can show you many Indians who look like her. In the sense, some sub communities of Indian populace have lighter skin, lighter eyes etc. We are not British slaves or self hating monkeys. India is a sub continent with many inherent contradictions of its own. Stop being a racist. Your comments reflect your lack of worldly knowledge.

  • neilstube2008:

How sexist… girls … How sexist… girls to become beauticians. How about a computer training institute instead Loreal???????

  • seinfeildsucks:

    @ …
@LogicalFlawDetector The reason why most of the actors in hollyweird are “Pale as hell” is because whites (Jews) invinted the media for that very purpose to try in brainwash some ones psychi int believing that a skin color is more superior. Whites have no bodies no personailities and are dirty and vile so they have to try in make ppl. believe that a genetic mutation is some how beautiful. If whites could be black I’m 100% sure they would. Peace.
